This past month has left be feeling personally victimized by my digital calendar. I entered one of my of children’s concerts at the wrong time, entered another appointment on the wrong day, and this past Monday completely missed my daughter’s well-child checkup because when I woke up and looked at my day, the calendar only showed through 2pm and, of course, her appointment was at 2:30. I’ve been considering returning to an old school to a paper planner for a while. Oh how I love using different colors of ink to represent each of my 6 family members. Yes, I know you can color code a digital calendar, but it isn’t nearly as satisfying.
I am so glad I happened across Momma’s Little Helper Day Planners. When I first received my planners, I was immediate struck by the quality of the covers. They are very sturdy, laminated covers that will definitely hold up to the wear and tear of keeping my family’s busy schedule for an entire year. Another added bonus, is both the front and back covers have a pocket which is perfect for tucking away receipts or appointment cards that I want to add to my calendar later.
This planner takes me back to my college planner days. I loved getting a new planner each fall and using new pens to color code all my class assignments. Like my college planners, Momma’s Little Helper Day Planners are just the right size to carry everywhere, but big enough to hold all the details of my family’s busy schedule. The planner measures 6″ by 9″ and will easily fit in a medium-sized purse. Plus the coil binding is the perfect place to store my pen; no more searching in the bottom of the endless abyss of my purse to find a writing tool!
There is something so satisfying about writing on a nice quality paper that does not make your ink bleed or smear all over the page and this is so true with Momma’s LIttle Helper Day Planners. The coil binding allows the planner to lay flat as you write contributing to this nice writing experience.
I gave one of the tips pages a nice tug. With the high quality paper and thick coil bindings, these pages stay put! This planner is not going to fall apart in July.
The planner comes in 2 different designs: Damask and Floral. Both of the designs have all the features I described above plus lots of extra “mommy features” like places to store important numbers, dates, meal ideas, and helpful “mommy tips”. They also have a monthly “at a glance” calendar page before each month’s weekly pages.
One fabulous difference in the two designs is that each design offers a different weekly calendar lay out. The Damask design features a vertical lay out with areas to jot down your meal plan for each day as well as weekly goals! The weekly goals are my personal favorite, what a great way to help you say on track each week. The floral design has a standard left-to-right weekly layout and gives more room on each day to organize your day. I honestly cannot decide which design I prefer.
If one of your goals for 2017 is improving your daily organization, you are in luck. One of my readers will receive your choice of the 2017 Momma’s Little Helper Day Planner!
You have until December 26th at 12:00 am to enter. A winner will be announced on the Mommy MD in the CLE Facebook page.
